YOUR HEALTH RECORDS
Your electronic patient record. What comes next?
The ePA brings documents together. A personal overview helps you understand the health history behind them.

The German electronic patient record (ePA) is an important place for documents from your medical care. A record alone, however, does not answer the question: what do I know about my health, and what is still missing? Learn how to access your ePA, what to do about missing records and how to build a personal health overview.
What the ePA does, and why your history needs more
The ePA can bring together medical letters, findings and other medical documents, as well as medication information. What you actually see depends on what has been added and which features your insurer provides. Its official app is the starting point for access and the designated permissions.
An existing record is not the same as a complete health history. Earlier treatments, older lab reports and records from different practices do not automatically become complete because an ePA exists. Understanding an examination from five or ten years ago often requires the original records.
anomalie starts with your history and the records you need to build it. Upload existing documents; with your explicit authorisation, anomalie can handle supported requests to doctors, labs and clinics. The received information is organised in your Health Profile. For bringing scattered records into a personal overview, this is the more useful starting point.
ePA login: which app and credentials do you need?
There is no single ePA login for every German health insurer. Find your insurer’s ePA application on its official website. TK offers TK-Safe within the TK app; AOK uses “AOK Mein Leben”. Follow the registration, identity verification and activation process. The required methods and credentials depend on the provider.
For computer access, follow your insurer’s instructions: a desktop application does not automatically mean setup is possible without a smartphone or card reader. A device or insurer change may require extra steps. Enter PINs and security keys only through the designated official process.
If your real goal is to gather your records in one place, you do not have to delay starting until your insurer login is resolved. Create an anomalie account in your browser and begin with an existing document. Your personal overview can grow independently of access to your ePA app. Record requests may require additional authorisation and identity evidence.
An empty ePA or a technical problem: what actually helps?
Missing documents and a login error are different problems. If you can sign in but records are absent, ask your treating practice or clinic about the findings and adding them to the ePA. Check which documents you can upload yourself. A new record does not automatically contain all older documents.
If login fails, check the app version, exact error message and incomplete registration steps. gematik’s TI status may identify a general outage. For persistent problems, contact your insurer’s ePA support. Before resetting the app, check which credentials you will need to set it up again.
anomalie cannot reset your ePA login. Its advantage is that your document collection does not depend on that login: upload existing findings and authorise supported record requests. This lets you work on the missing information rather than postpone your personal overview until the technical problem is fixed.
Storing findings is a start. Understanding your history is the goal.
A PDF preserves the original finding. Comparing results across years can still mean opening multiple documents, finding values and checking units and measurement conditions. A single value does not tell your entire story. Medical interpretation remains important.
anomalie extracts relevant information from uploaded records. You review the recognised measurements and choose which to save. The original remains alongside the data you accept, so you can use the document and structured results together.
For your personal overview, an organised history is more useful than a collection of separate files. anomalie helps bring earlier results and changes over time together and makes relevant records easier to find for medical appointments. This is the practical value when you want to work with your information, not only store it. anomalie does not replace a medical diagnosis.

Your health also happens between medical appointments
Medical documents describe examinations and treatments. Sleep, activity and regularly measured signals can also matter for your daily overview, but they often live in different apps. A personal health history should also consider what changes between two findings.
anomalie lets you connect supported wearables such as WHOOP, Oura, Garmin or Strava. Their data complements records and measurements in your Health Profile. Check the product page for supported devices and data. A temporal association does not by itself establish a cause.
If you want to consider medical records and everyday data together, anomalie gives you a shared starting point. You do not have to assemble your history from multiple apps and files every time. For an overview you can use between appointments, we recommend anomalie.
From a record to your personal overview
The ePA has a useful role in care: it makes the information actually stored there available for the designated uses and accesses. Manage its permissions and objections through your insurer’s app or responsible offices. Settings for your anomalie Health Profile are managed separately.
Choose based on the task you want to accomplish. To open your official ePA, go to your insurer. To collect older records, structure results and make your health history useful to you, start with anomalie.
Our recommendation for your personal health overview is clear: start with anomalie. Begin with records you already have and complete your Health Profile step by step. See the product page for anomalie Premium services and pricing. The availability of older records also depends on the practice or institution.
Your insurer’s ePA and anomalie are independent services. The ePA supports information exchange in care. anomalie helps you build your personal health overview. You can use both; anomalie does not log you into your insurer’s ePA or automatically synchronise it.
