How does the scan work?

1. Start the scan from your anomalie app with one button press. No QR code and no check-in.
2. Stand barefoot on the foot electrodes, weight evenly spread.
3. Take the hand grips with your arms slightly away from your body and hold still. A painless current passes through you and measures how your tissues resist it.
4. Follow the screen for a front and side body scan, then a short balance test on one leg.
5. Step off. Your results are in your account.

How do I prepare?

Scan before you train, not after. Empty your bladder first, and avoid food and drink for roughly two hours beforehand. Recent meals and exercise shift your body water, which the scanner can read as a change in fat.

Come barefoot with dry hands and feet. For the same reason, test at a similar time of day each time so your numbers stay comparable.

How long does it take?

About three minutes from unlocking the scanner to stepping off. The impedance measurement itself takes 30 to 60 seconds; the body scan and balance test add a little on top.

It's self-service, so there's nothing to book and no one to wait for.

Question 5

Do I need an appointment?

No. Walk in during the studio's opening hours, start the scan from your anomalie app and run it yourself. The screen guides you through every step, and there is no one to check in with.

Question 6

Is there anyone who shouldn't use it?

The scanner passes a small electrical current through the body, so it is not suitable if you have a pacemaker or any other implanted electronic device.

If you're pregnant or unsure whether it's right for you, ask your doctor before scanning.

How often should I scan?

At least every two weeks. Body composition moves slowly and a single scan is only a snapshot; scanning on a regular rhythm turns it into a trend you can act on while a training block is still running.

Keep the conditions consistent, same time of day and same preparation, so what you see is real change rather than fluctuation.
